after i saw the movie “Alice in Wonderland” in 3D
, i wanted to make a review on it! but then i realized i haven’t read the books so i might just sound stupid (especially to the fans of Alice)
‘coz i have no idea what i’m blabbing about… but coming from just a regular curious moviegoer, i really enjoyed the film!

i’ve been looking forward to this movie ever since i saw the teaser trailer. and knowing that Tim Burton and Johnny Depp will collaborate again got me even more excited! so i made sure i won’t miss it.

aside from Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter, other familiar faces (and voices) can be seen (or heard
).
Helena Bonham Carter plays the Red Queen. she was exceptional as Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter
and was also seen in Sweeney Todd as Mrs. Lovett; and as expected, did another great performance as the villain in this film.
the White Queen was played by Anne Hathaway, and to tell you honestly, i didn’t really get her acting. i was confused if it was meant to be funny or what.
but i still love her nevertheless. she’s a great actress… just not so much in this movie.
and of course,
who wouldn’t be able to recognize Professor Snape’s voice? this time, as a Blue Caterpillar. i just love that unique tone that Alan Rickman has! he also plays Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd.

joining in the cast of characters are Crispin Glover (George McFly from Back to the Future and the “thin man” from Charlie’s Angels) as the Knave of Hearts and Timothy Spall (Peter Pettigrew from Harry Potter; Nathaniel from Enchanted and Beadle Bamford from Sweeney Todd) as Bayard the talking dog.
excellent line up, i must say… and Mia Wasikowska make a wonderful and authentic Alice!
the movie was really entertaining. great acting from great actors. i love the visuals, the make up and the wardrobe! (especially Alice’s red dress)

CLICK HERE for an awesome review by Angela Davis! i totally agree with pretty much everything she said. (but on those parts where she talks about the books, i can neither agree nor disagree. haven’t read them
) after reading her review, it made me wanna buy those books!
