a lot has happened for the past month, and i’ve been meaning to blog about them but it seems that fate just wouldn’t let me!
i admit, i was just feeling lazy at first, so i made a promise to myself that i would update my blog the moment our midterms week will be over but then there were problems with my host!
we had to transfer to a new server, then my site also had problems of its own… (wow! cursed much?
)
well anyways, to make the long annoying story short, i haven’t had the chance to update my blog until now.
i got a lot of catching up to do!!!
let’s begin with the highlight of my month!!
remember my previous post? (how could you not? it’s been on my homepage for like a month!!
) well, luckily, i was one of those bloggers who were chosen to go to Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort for a daytour (for free!!!
). it was such a nice experience!
thank you so much to sir ruben of PinoyWorld for giving us this once in a lifetime opportunity! it’s not everyday we get to go to a wonderful place like sumilon bluewater without having to spend a single centavo.
the thirty-five bloggers, myself included, met up at the SM City Cebu Northwing entrance at 5:30am on august 1, 2009. we were about to be part of an adventurous trip that would be impossible to forget! 3 vans were on standby to take us to the Queen Jewel of the South. everyone was anxious.
we didn’t know what to expect and just simply didn’t care about the weather! (it was really windy btw. it looked like a storm could pour on us any second!)
we went on with the plan and drove all the way towards the south not letting those raindrops (actually it was pouring rain already!
) stop us from having a great time. we had a pitstop at a Jolibee in Carcar so we can feed our hungry tummies, (care of sir Ruben again! you have no idea how thankful we are!) though we were having some chips along the way.
when we got to the island, guess what welcomed us… that’s right!
another foodtrip!!! (provided by Sumilon’s in-house island kitchen managed by Chef de Partie Buddy Amodia) while we were helping ourselves with those irresistible sandwiches, Sumilon Bluewater’s Resident Manager, Greg Perral, gave us an orientation about the island resort. Sumilon Bluewater Beach resort is owned and managed by Almont Holdings Incorporated (AHI) and is the sister resort of Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort. (i sure hope i could also witness the beauty of maribago bluewater cebu! but eh! can’t complain right? i already got a free trip to sumilon!
)
thirty-five bloggers go to sumilon
the best thing about this trip is that i got to spend it with three of my best friends
if you’re looking for a place where you can unwind, relax and just enjoy the beauty of nature, Sumilon Bluewater Island is the place to be! (gah! i sound like a cheesy commercial…
) but seriously, there’s a lot of things to do in this island! they’ve got different island activities that you shouldn’t miss! like kayaking, trekking, snorkeling and canoeing.
in case you haven’t noticed, i suck at endorsing the place!
i’m not really good with words, so i’m just gonna share to you guys our experience through this vlog that i put together. after watching this, i’m sure that Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort would make it on your “list of places to go before you die”. LOL!

actually, they’re not really strangers.. hehe… most of them are members of the Cebu Bloggers Society (CBS), so basically, we know almost everyone that went… but there were also new faces and of course new friendships!!! it was a blast…
