it’s official! i am now a part of the Cebu Bloggers Society!!! yippee!

my friends Mikyu and Aimee have been members for almost two years now. it was actually them who introduced me to the group and i had no intentions of applying until recently.

i didn’t really consider myself as “CBS material”. i mean… i’m still just a newbie and i blog for fun. i don’t even make money out of it! i know nothing about SEO and tweaking codes still drives me mad! tsk! but i’m willing to learn, of course. and now that i’ll be constantly surrounded by all these “big time bloggers”, i’m keeping my fingers crossed that their skills will somehow rub off on me. hihihi

some of the CBS members… i already know, since i’ve covered a couple of events with them. they’re really friendly and i’m looking forward to meeting all the rest.

to the Cebu Bloggers Society, thank you so much for welcoming me, along with the other new members! it’s such an honor to be part of this society. i hope i can contribute to the best of my abilities and help “Promote Cebu Through Blogs”. aja!

anyone who’s been reading my blog knows that i’m totally obsessed with ECLIPSE (the Twilight Saga in general). yeah whatevur.. i know what you’re thinking.. i can hear your sarcastic laughs now… but i can’t help it! so, anyways.. i just saw it today with my friends, (i wanted to watch the midnight screening when i heard about it, but i already reserved tickets for the first screening time in the morning.. oh well) and i’m glad it didn’t disappoint me.

as i’ve stated before, Eclipse is my favorite book from the saga. it’s the peak of the Edward-Bella-Jacob triangle and pretty much the climax of everything. in this installment, we get to know more the history of the Quileute Tribe; and Jasper’s “new-born vampire army” days were revealed, as well as Rosalie’s past. there’s a bigger possibility that guys will enjoy this movie while watching it with their girl friends since it has more suspense and action in it..

for those of you who still haven’t seen the movie, i definitely recommend it!!! trust me, it won’t totally frustrate the haters. hihi..

besides the Twilight Saga, i’m also insane about Harry Potter!!! i seriously can’t wait for the finale! but it’s a little bittersweet for me ‘coz i don’t want it to end. *sighs* check out the trailer below!

another guilty pleasure of mine is The Chronicles of Narnia. just like Harry Potter and The Twilight Saga, i’ve got the complete set of this series. (i guess i’m just really fond of epic fantasies. ) finally! “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” is coming! check out the trailer below!

since we’re talking about epic fantasies, i’m a bit curious about “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”. it looks good too… check out the trailer below!

Another American Idol has just been proclaimed!!!
Was it the paint salesman? or was it the single mom?

We’ve seen how Lee DeWyze (Mt. Prospect, IL) evolved from shy guy to a potential winner. And we’ve witnessed how Crystal Bowersox (Toledo, OH) remained consistently good throughout the season. They both auditioned from Chicago on the same day, both have come a long way in this competition, both of them are after one title and only less than 2% of the votes separated them… so, who won?

Dressed as high school kids, the Top 12 opened the show with “School’s Out” along with Orianthi, who looked so cute in her pigtails by the way, and Alice Cooper himself.

Other legendary acts who did cameos were The Bee Gees (who sang with Siobhan Magnus and Aaron Kelly), Michael McDonald (who sang with Michael “Big Mike” Lynch), Daryl Hall & John Oates (who sang with the top 6 guys), Chicago (who sang with Lee DeWyze) and Joe Cocker (who sang with Crystal and Lee).

There were also performances by season 8 winner Kris Allen, Christina Aguilera (with the top 6 girls), season 4 winner Carrie Underwood, and Janet Jackson (with the top 12); but my favorites of the night? Crystal Bowersox with Alanis Morissette (“Ironic” and “You Oughta Know”) and Casey James with Bret Michaels (“Every Rose Has Its Thorns”). Can you say perfect combinations?

The finale was a little bittersweet because, as we all know, it was Simon Cowell’s last night on Idol. It definitely won’t be the same without him.

Ryan, Randy, Kara, Ellen and of course, Paula, all shared their unforgettable moments with our favorite judge. Ricky Gervais talked about Simon too… well, barely. hihi… Paula even did a short stand-up comedy. “There’s a baby backstage with Simon’s haircut… and sweetheart, it’s your turn to feed him.” Not bad Paula!! I have to say that was pretty funny.

Dane Cook’s song about “the things that Simon said” was hilarious too! all the past AI rejects (pretty much everyone whom Simon said nasty things to) sang along with him. And that “Pants on the Ground” guy even had his own crew with the participation of William “She Bangs” Hung to sing to Simon.

Simon Cowell will definitely be missed, with all his mean comments and his ridiculously accurate evaluations. And only he can bring back all our favorite Idols back on one stage, lead by Kelly Clarkson (season 1), Ruben Studdard (season 2), Fantasia Barrino (season 3), Carrie Underwood (season 4), Taylor Hicks (season 5), Jordin Sparks (season 6), and Kris Allen (season 8). David Cook had a charity event in Kansas City, which explains why the season 7 winner was not with the other Idol champs.

At the end of the night was the moment everyone has been waiting for. Ryan Seacrest announced Lee DeWyze as the winner of American Idol Season 9. Lee was on tears as the confetti showered the stage. He closed the show with his winner’s single, U2’s “Beautiful Day”.

What a season huh? So what do you think? Do you agree with America’s decision? Was it “DeWyze” choice?

ever since that “Single Ladies” number on gLee, i’ve been eyeing Brittany and her dancing skills. Along with Harry Shum Jr. (known as Mike “the other asian” Chang on gLee and was also on Step Up 2: The Streets), they are the best dancers on the show.

just last week, right after Artie’s flash mob number, while everyone online was buzzing about Jollibee being on the background, i, for some reason, decided to google Brittany. and since then, i’m loving her even more! found out that she was actually a back-up dancer on Beyoncé’s tour and she was also on the second season of So You Think You Can Dance but didn’t make the top 20.

last monday, gLee decided to post a video about Heather Morris (Brittany) on their official YouTube Channel. maybe this means they’ll be giving her her own number soon? yay! personally, i’d love for her to do Britney Spears’ “Gimme More” and say the intro’s “It’s Britney, b*tch!”

that’s right…i love twilight. and for all of you “twi-hards” out there, the Eclipse Final Theatrical Trailer is here!!!


i just really can’t wait to see the movie! this book is my favorite of the entire Saga.. it’s a perfect combination of romance and action. (“team Jacob” all the way! ) i’m just a little worried that the movie won’t live up to my expectations, but i guess when you’re a twi-hard like me, you’ll love it no matter what. but based on the final trailer and the sneak peek from the new moon dvd, it looks pretty much what i imagined it to be.
