so, everybody seems to have a formspring account already and at first i didn’t really plan on having one.. but since i was bored today, i created an account too! you can follow me if you want and just ask me anything! hehe..

do you guys watch American Idol? i’m just a fan of the show and all i can say is that “BRING ALEX LAMBERT BACK!” hehe.. i just love him! he should have lasted longer… he has a really distinct voice and i just love his mullet! the results for the top12 were really shocking. a lot of great talent went home that night(including Lilly Scott ) because i dunno, maybe people thought they were safe already? so they didn’t put much effort in voting for them. instead those teen contestants made it to the big stage! uuuggh! i just really think the people who got eliminated that night deserved the spot better than some of the top12.
there’s this poll on American Idol’s homepage on who people think left Idol too soon. and as expected, Alex is leading the poll by a landslide. but i personally think all four of them left Idol too soon. ( but mostly Lilly and Alex)

anyway, out of the top10 left (Paige Miles got eliminated this week, it’s about time! ), who do you think will make it all the way through and be the next American Idol? as for me, i really am a big fan of Crystal Bowersox! she’s my bet for this season. i love her sound, her style and she’s really talented!
some people are also rooting for Siobhan but i just don’t like her that much. (no offence to her fans ) i think that she tries a little too hard to do an extraordinary performance and it’s too much for me. but that’s just my personal opinion. and her screaming is getting old and kind of overdone. she was praised because of that high note she did on the top12 girls performance and since then, she screams at every end of her performances. it’s like, ooookaay.. we get it, you can reach those high notes. i have a feeling these two are gonna go head-to-head on the finals. but it’s still too soon to tell. things can change and other people can still improve.

i’m also loving Ellen Degeneres as the new judge! i know she doesn’t have a professional background in music or whatever, but she does give some great comments with a hint of humor! it’s like she represents the people of America as fans and as music lovers. it makes the show more fun to watch!!

i know most of you (erm… myself included ) are still addicted to Paramore’s “Brick By Boring Brick”… but they just premiered this new video called “The Only Exception” and i totally love it too!! i’m just not a fan of Hayley’s hairstyle in this video though..

Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” video is out!!! it’s just a compilation of clips from her Fearless Tour 2009. congratulations to her for winning Album of the Year for Fearless at the Grammy’s!!!

and last but not the least, Avril Lavigne is soooo back!!! in case you didn’t know, i am a huge fan of Avril! so i was really excited when i heard that she has a song featured on Johnny Depp’s upcoming movie, “Alice In Wonderland”. (this movie is definitely a must-see! Tim Burton and Johnny Depp make a great team!!!) check out Avril’s video for “Alice Underground”!

i’m sure everyone of you has heard of Taylor Swift’s catchy tune of “You Belong With Me”. it’s got a cute music video and the song is just really entertaining to sing along with. well, for a while now, i’ve been addicted to this OPM acoustic cover of the song. this duet version is sung by Rey Cantong and Kaye Malana of the band Six Part Invention from the album Acoustic Duets.
i think it’s a great idea that they made this one a duet. it just fits so well! you can listen to the track below.. enjoy!

another update that i’m just dying to tell you guys about is this new product Apple just launched! the iPad!!!

oh well, i know i’ll never be able to afford one. so i’ll just feast my eyes with this unbelievable device and keep on dreaming what it must be like to actually experience its great features and specs.

Such a bummer that our Midterms had to fall right after Sinulog! It’s like I couldn’t concentrate on studying because I was so hyped at the upcoming event, but I just can’t fully enjoy the celebration neither, knowing that I still needed to prepare for our exams! uuuggh!! It’s so frustrating!
The networks were busy too! You can’t call anyone and your text messages are like hours delayed… It makes it very hard for you to meet up with your friends. And I wasn’t able to take decent videos or even pictures of the fireworks displays!

But anyway, I didn’t really let those things get me down.

Like last year, I got some henna tattoos! But this time, it’s c/o my cousin who, I could say, is really good! You can check out some of his works HERE.

Last Saturday, January 16, 2010, was the PyroFest ‘10, the 2nd annual Sinulog fireworks competition. It was my first time to watch this event and I love it! Too bad I didn’t take any pictures. I was too busy trying to record videos using my lame digital camera and eventually ran out of memory space. (didn’t really come prepared… stupid me!)

On the actual day of the Sinulog festival, well.. as usual, I still tried to walk around the whole city, (the rain wasn’t stopping me!), ate pizza and went to Ayala for the fireworks display. (again, by Pyroworks) I didn’t get to gatecrash the Cebu City Sports Center in time for their fireworks display (still by Pyroworks), unlike before. (I thought, watching Ayala’s fireworks would be enough coz i already had an overload during the PyroFest ) And once again, I wasn’t able to take pictures! I forgot my camera… (remind me next year to always bring my camera!!!)

Like I said, not really the best Sinulog… I didn’t party hard, but I had fun nevertheless… It’s still my favorite festival!
