my blog was even suspended for days because i was super late in paying my monthly fee for my host. my plurk karma dropped from 83 to 79! and i’ve got a thousand notifications in my facebook account. now that is really messed up!
oh well… guess i really have to start catching up on the online world now. and also, i have got to make a new post for my blog!!! so here it goes…

since summer is officially over, let me share to you guys my summer highlights.

ya’ll know that i took summer classes right? well, i only had 2 subjects. and for the information of everybody, one gave me great memories and the other only gave me nightmares!

in my history class, i gained a lot of new friends! and our teacher was super cool and fun. we asked him if we could have a field trip, since summer classes were ending soon. and just like that, he considered our proposal. then we suggested if we could head on to the beach after the field trip! (obviously, that’s what we were after all along! a trip to the beach! ) it was totally a great way to end our summer class and a perfect way to bond with our classmates! the class was a mixture of all colleges, so we got to meet new faces and get acquainted with students from the other campuses.

the not-so-good half of my summer classes? thesis!!! my other subject is technical writing, so basically, it’s all about making a thesis paper. it wasn’t supposed to be hard, since it’s only a thesis paper for english. but what made it a nightmare was because one of my groupmates who is graduating keeps on insisting on using his friend’s previous feasibility study as basis for our paper. and he wouldn’t follow our teacher’s format and instructions! we couldn’t do or say anything because this groupmate of ours is very intimidating and quite controlling. our teacher already made us rewrite our paper several times and even warned us that if we keep on insisting on using our own format, he’s going to give us an NC or “no credit” for our final grade. it was really stressful! but in the end, we were able to work things out and passed the subject. THANK GOD!

another highlight of my summer was my new phone!!!
my dad arrived home last may 20, 2009 to spend two weeks with us. i was really surprised that when i got home from school on the same day my dad arrived… he handed me this box. and guess what? it’s a brand new phone for me!!! OMG!!! i honestly didn’t expect that he would buy me a new phone. i was very much satisfied with my old one since i’m not much of a texter, my mom has a cool digicam that i can borrow anytime, and i have an ipod. so why would i need a new phone for? but i’m really grateful that my dad bought me this new phone. it’s a NOKIA 5800 XpressMusic and i love it!!! thank you dad!!!

actually, a lot of things happened this summer but it would take a whole book if i blab about everything… so i guess these are the interesting ones that made the cut.
again, i apologize for being gone for a long time… i promise i’ll try my best to be online more often…

i’ve got tons of things on my to-do list this summer. i just hope i can accomplish everything on it. i’ve got to finish my reading list already, then i still have to catch up with my fave series, and a lot more… but on my first week of summer vacation, i didn’t start on my list yet. i decided to just chill and not plan anything. i stayed up so late at nights and wake up at noontime the next day. (i know, i’m pathetic! ) i just ate, slept and watched t.v. for one week. then, right after 7 days of being a useless couch potato, it was time to get the party started!!!

last sunday (march 29, 2009), my high school friends (AKaBz) and i had a little “impromptu” get together. we didn’t really care if we prepared or not, we just wanted to be able to see each other and catch up. only 7 of us were able to come to our not-so-planned pool party. some had other commitments. but it was still fun! (we are 17 all in all… yeah i know, such a big number… parang sorority nga eh. pero i’m proud to say nah we never fail to gather ’round when we have free times… iba-ibang schools na kasi)

yesterday (march 30, 2009), secondhand serenade was at the ayala center cebu. he had a mini-concert at “the terraces” and of course, i wanted to watch it. i wasn’t able to get tickets because i was too late when i inquired at the concierge and all the tickets were already claimed. but you can still watch even without tickets. it was really sweet that two of my best friends came with me. my high school friend, steff and my college friend, maidee. even though steff and maidee were not really fans, they still accompanied me to the concert.

here are also some of the videos i took. this view is the best i could do. the place was already packed when we arrived there. the audience were really singing along! (including the guy beside me) john vesely even said that this crowd was the loudest from the philippines. haha!

btw, for the past days, i’ve been really addicted to this game called CrazyKart! haha!!! i love it!

as i have said in my previous post, last thursday (february 26, 2009) was aimee’s special day. we didn’t get to have the celebration on her exact birthday because everyone was so busy. aimee decided that she’d treat us the next day (february 27, 2009) since everyone had no classes on that friday morning (the faculty had a general meeting or something). first, we went to this store called 868. hindi naman kamahalan ang store, in fact ang mura nga ng mga items nila. we just strolled around and nagbabakasakaling may mabibili kami. but only shalee got to buy something. then, aimee treated us @ Da Vinci’s Pizza! we ordered da vinci’s masterpiece, the mona lisa and my favorite, hawaiian delight!

we really had fun sa da vinci’s! after our pizza treat, we went to ayala. we had a little problem along the way but we worked it out in the end. then we ate dinner together! it was a long day, but we sure did have some FUN!

when i got home, i decided to ground myself for the rest of the weekend since i’ve been going out almost every chance i get. (i needed to study now!) but then, maidee texted me and said that the kiNeSyX were having a picnic at the IT park on saturday night (february 28, 2009)! i couldn’t say no! so i passed the decision-making part to my mom. (my destiny was in her hands! LOLz!) i was thinking that if she says no then i wouldn’t object to her decision and just pass for now, but to my surprise, she said yes! so there goes my destiny… i was meant to go to that picnic! haha!!!

we really had fun during that impromptu picnic! kahit ilang beses na kami pinagsabihan ng guard (hanggang 8pm lang daw kasi pwedeng mg.standby sa field), ang titigas pa rin ng mga ulo namin! (yung iba nga eh hindi rin umalis!) kapag mgkasama kami, eh lumalabas talaga ang pgka.immature namin! haha! we even played games after eating ang talking ang taking pictures! i’m glad my mom allowed me to go with them.

this time, i’m really gonna stay true to my word nah… i have to just stay home and study for the rest of the semester… (ngeeek!!! as if!!! i can NEVER do that! ) but seriously, i need to set my priorities nah talaga and focus on school. hehe… so ’till here nalang muna. bye!!!

so anyways, last weekend was kind of crazy for me.
let’s start with thursday (february 19, 2009). it was dada’s birthday (a very good friend of mine and is also a member of kiNeSyX) and the group (kiNeSyX) planned a surprise for her at lunch time. since i still had classes until 12:30, i wasn’t able to join them in giving her a cake and singing her a birthday song. but luckily, i was able to eat lunch with them. (although i was the only one left who wasn’t able to eat… hmmpft! solo flight nalang.) we had fun and i was able to spend the afternoon with the group.

friday (february 20, 2009) was steffanieh’s birthday. steff is one of my dearest friends from high school. together, we have been through a lot. and i mean, a whole lot! i consider her one of my bff’s. (naks!) as a celebration for her birthday, her family treated her to dinner, so her birthday bash for us (her HS barkada) was scheduled on saturday (may pa.schedule schedule pa hap! hehe). i spent the whole afternoon with maidee (a very close friend and also a member of kiNeSyX) then later on i went to the rehearsal (although hindi akuh sumali.. hehe) of the group for a contest/show. it was already very late when i came home. pero enjoy naman so ok lang.. hehe

saturday (february 21, 2009) was steff’s birthday bash! we had dinner at giligan’s island then we went to gimik barkada ktv to have some karaoke. then, we went clubbing across the street! hehe… (but no worries, it was just clean fun with the girls, i didn’t even drink alcohol! hehe. i’m kind of not allowed anymore because of my sickness…) it was pretty late/early (whatever works) when i got home. i’m so glad i have a friend with wheels..

sunday (february 22, 2009). there was this play at sm called “rehas” which was by our school’s theater guild. and in one of our subjects, we were required to watch it. i was there with my friend maidee. then after the play, we had some coffee. yum! steff was there too, but she watched in another time slot so we waited for her to finish watching the play. i was hoping that maidee and steff will see each other again (my two best friends getting along.. awwww! ) because it was like 2 years ago when the three of us went out together. but unfortunately, maidee had to go before steff came out from the cinema. maidee has a part-time job kasi and she was already needed at work. so steff and i ate some heavy snacks (not really dinner because it was still a bit early) then we attended mass together. i thought it was really sweet for steff to go to mass with me because earlier that day, she already went to mass with her classmates. (lampas na ata xa sa langit nyan! haha! ) i got home at about 9pm because we still went out to eat after the mass. (mga baboy kc eh! hehe) and to top all of my food trip that day, i still ate a full dinner when i got home! wheeew!! hehehe..

monday and tuesday, we have no classes… holidays ata.. ewan ko bah.. nyahahahaha!! i was suppose to post an entry about steff’s birthday bash but i was waiting for the pictures from my friend’s camera to be uploaded on the net… kaso, hindi pa nya in.upload eh! and i didn’t want the update to be old news nah. so i just posted this entry kahit alang pics… sana basahin nyo pa rin.. hehe

i’m currently a member of the USC Engineering Pop Jazz team (aka “kiNeSyX“)

unfortunately, i’m not in the pictures from the article. they were taken last year and i haven’t been an active member of the group for more than a year now (since may 2007). i was sick and i had to temporarily quit dancing and had my treatment. i even had to quit school. (i know, so sad… but i’m back now! so it’s all good! ) i returned to school just last semester but i didn’t take the full load… i only enrolled with 9 units (3 subjects) so i won’t get stressed (just for health reasons). this semester, i’m enrolled with 17 units (only minor subjects). i still can’t go back to dancing because of the late and constant practices, but i sure do try to hang out with my kiNeSyX family when i get the chance. although some members have come and gone (others have graduated, some formed their own group, and a few have financial problems in school), i still consider the ‘fresh faces’, my family and i want to get to know them.

yesterday was the first time i came along to see them perform. i haven’t really had the chance to tag along on their gigs, i just come to the practices. and besides, seeing them on stage without me only breaks my heart. (naks! pero it’s true. i want to dance with them again so bad!!!) although i was bummed that i can’t ‘bust some moves’ with them, i still had fun! i got to know the new members better and i was able to catch up with the senior members (i missed them so much and the bond that we had!). not to mention, i was able to help backstage with the costumes and everything!

kiNeSyX was invited to do the production number (contemporary dance) and also an intermission number (modern dance) for “Love Affair”. it’s sort of a valentine’s day program or something. i’m not sure. here’s the video of their intermission number. i suggest you turn the volume really low. it’s kind of loud because of all the screaming.

i’m so glad i came and watched them dance. i miss dancing even more and i miss hanging out with them. i really hope i can get to join them very soon. in the meantime, i’ll just continue to support them as best i can.
